Let’s see if anyone remembers this young man…
this is my dad, Tom Turner. He played for Vincennes Lincoln and was a member of the 1968 and 1969 state finalist teams. They played against George McGinnis and Steve Downing in the 69 state finals. He went on to win the NJCAA Championship at Vincennes University in 1972 with Bob Mcadoo and the Trailblazers. After that, him and “Foots” Walker went to the University of West Georgia and in 1974 won the NAIA championship against Alcorn State University. He was drafted in the 1974 NBA draft by the Washington Bullets, coached by Wes Unseld. Truck Robinson was drafted by them the same year. Just posted because I think my old man was pretty awesome.
Oh yeah, and Roger Kaiser was his coach at West Georgia. Everybody know him
Happy Father’s Day Provided by son Tim Turner. Thanks for sharing.
