Kenneth Hudson was principal at Barr-Reeve High School in 1972 and he arranged for Coach Knight to speak at the annual athletic banquet. Coach Knight’s fee for speaking was $100. I was thirteen and enthralled by his talk. I can still recall the basis of his speech. My Mom, Rotha Hudson, later sent Coach a picture of an Amish buggy sporting an IU bumper sticker. Coach Knight responded with a note telling her thanks and something to the effect he was pleased with the support! RIP Coach Knight. Dave Hudson
